The first Job Fair at ORT

On Friday, April 12, 2013, Zarem/Golde ORT Technical Institute, has been hosting a job fair at its campus in Skokie.  Twenty-three employers were present to discuss their current employment opportunities with potential candidates.  Among the companies participating in the event were American Family Insurance, Sam's Club, State Farm, Northshore University Health System, Pace Bus Service, Weiss Hospital as well as representatives of smaller, local businesses.  The fair was a tremendous success, drawing attention from over 325 job seekers in the first two hours.  All of the attendees had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the variety of available positions and begin the application process. The representatives from the participating companies worked tirelessly in their recruitment efforts, detailing their vacancies, and describing the requirements, benefits and future opportunities related to their specific job availability.

We are delighted to be able to provide this wonderful community service event to employers and job seekers, not only our current and past students, but all interested members of the local community to come together in a friendly, professional environment.  We are looking forward to hearing the success stories of satisfying employments and would like to gratefully acknowledge the generous sponsors of our event: Costco, Dominic’s, Jewel –Osco and Sam’s Club!

Stay tuned for details as to our next Job Fair in the summer of 2013.
